Relevant questions are the questions you want answers to; the reason for the test. These are the “did you do it?” questions; the more meaningful/emotional the better. Relevant questions must be specific and about the same issue; you cannot ask questions about two different issues during the same test, you will not know which issue the participant is being dishonest about.
Here are examples of relevant questions regarding the same issue: (Did you steal my lunch? Did you take something from the fridge that wasn’t yours?) or (Did you wear my cloths without asking me? Yesterday, did you wear my purple dress?) or (Do you have a crush on me? Do you like me, romantically?) or (Do you like my cooking? Do you think my meatloaf tastes good?)
*This App measures the participant’s reactions to questions; if the participant doesn’t care about the issue, it will effect the results*
Irrelevant questions act as a baseline for the test. These questions need to be "known truths" and must not evoke an emotional response from the participant. Keep them simple and easy to understand.
Examples: (Is today Monday? Are we in the month of July? Are we in Ottawa, Ontario? Are we in Washington, DC? Are we in Canada? Are we in the United States of America? Are we on planet earth?)
